If you need to share an item with someone you don’t share a vault with or who doesn’t use 1Password, learn how to securely share an item with anyone. On the vault, make sure you have permission to manage the vault. 1Password Families allows users to invite guests to a single vault at a time, but they wont have their own private vault or access to the familys shared. If you don’t see Vaults in the sidebar, click If you use 1Password Business, you can also create a usage report for the vault to see who has access. You’ll see a list of the people and groups who have access to it. When they click the link, the site shows them the password and immediately deletes the database entry to ensure no one else can ever use that link again. You enter the password in a Web form, click a Generate button, copy the provided URL, and send the link to the recipient. If you’re not sure who has access to a vault, click Vaults in the sidebar, then click the name of the vault. The Inevitable Shared Password When managing 1Password vaults in Dropbox folders, permissions could only be set through the Dropbox folder. Here’s how these password-sharing services work.
